Website Stages

Thank you for purchasing a PrintKEG website package.

Websites are your direct link to potential customers and the easiest way for most people to learn about what you do and who you are. With that in mind we developed our web package to assist you in making your business a success. Please read all of the information and heed any special directions concerning your new web package with PrintKEG.

Our process is broken down into 6 steps. Some  require your participation.

Step 1: We purchase your domain.

If you do not have a website address yet, we will help you choose a domain name and register it. It takes about 2 days before we can proceed to Stage 2; this is because domains utilize DNS and it can take up to 2 days for the information to propagate to all the DNS servers.

If you already have a website, we will work on a temporary location that is easily accessible to you. The link will look something like this: http://yourordernumber.idmfirm.com. Once your site is completed, we can help you transfer your domain name to us.

Step 2: Installation of Wordpress.

As you know, Wordpress is the engine we utilize to support your website. Not only does it help with quicker delivery but it also provides unlimited potential. It is after all a Content Management System which allows you to add an unlimited number of pages and features to your site. This stage requires no interaction on your part and takes less than a day to complete.

Step 3: Theme installation and customizations.

To save time and money, we utilize designs from an online source called ThemeForest.net. This site contains hundreds of pre-made professional designs for you to choose from. Keep in mind that a few alterations, such as colors and logos are included in this package, so don’t worry if you find the perfect theme but the colors are off. This stage can take a few days to complete.

Please make sure you stay in the ‘wordpress’ category and do not worry about the price since it is covered in your package. Just email us name of the template you like.

**Special note: Spend some time searching through all the themes. This is probably the most important decision you’ll make concerning your web package. Ensure that you find a theme that you like; one that has everything positioned where you would like. Location of the navigation bar, the content and other objects are important, so don’t settle! There are plenty of designs to choose from. Anything beyond color and logo alteration will cost you more money ($75 per hour).

Stage 4: Plugin installation and configuration.

Our packages come slam-packed with a variety of plugins to assist in the development, maintenance and publishing of your site. Learn more about which plugins are included on our Website FAQ page. Learn more about plugins by visiting our Plugins page.

Step 5: Training

This is the point in the project that we do our basic wordpress training class. In this class; held via email, live chat or in person (if local), we will show you how to create, edit and delete pages. We also show you how to use your preselected plugins and give you an overview of the entire wordpress system. This training is one on one so we can remain focused on your individual need. As always, FREE email support is always available before and after this stage. At the completion of this stage you should have all your starting pages done for launch.

We will help you create one or two pages at no extra cost.

Step 6: Final approval and Launch of your site.

Whew! We made it! Your site is done, it looks real sweet. Now is the time to launch this site for the world to see.

That’s it! 6 easy stages and your site is up and rocking for the world to admire.
