Samples, Samples and More Samples
Friday, April 22nd, 2011 Printing News by Mr. KegJust working on the pictures on the website and these are some of the samples we are adding throughout the site.
So…What’s New?
Wednesday, March 30th, 2011 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegOur product development staff (that’s me!) is always adding more stuff to the print mix for our fellow keggars (that’s you!). Here are some things we’ve recently added and others in the works.
New postcard sizes. We now offer every standard size for mailing purposes. The newest postcard size we’ve added is 4.25″ X 5.5″.
Customized Large Poster Sizes. On our large posters page, we offer many sizes but if your size need isn’t available please contact us! We might be able to make it happen.
More shirts styles. Before adding more shirt styles, we make sure we can offer the lowest prices out there. New styles include women tees, kid baseball jerseys, men tank tops and toddler t-shirts. We will be adding about 4 more styles in the next couple weeks which include long sleeves t-shirts and toddler ringers.
Stickers - The PrintKEG team is working on solutions for coated and uncoated sticker options. We are currently investigating initial sizes to offer.
Magnets - Magnets could be a pretty cool addition to our product line, and we are troubleshooting our way into streamlining this product into our workflow.
Koozies - We’re hoping to add koozies very soon. We are in quality testing mode at the moment, but its looking pretty good and Mr. Keg is excited!
QR Code Treasure Hunt - Find prizes, discounts and learn more about PrintKEG with Mr. Keg’s treasure hunt where “QR code marks the spot!™” Check it out.
100% Recycled Card Stock - Right now PrintKEG offers 100% recycled paper for flyers, newsletters and brochures, but we’ve been wanting to add a 100% recycled card option for postcards, rack cards and business cards. We’re surprised at how little people choose recycled paper, but that’s not deterring us from doing our part in environmental responsibility.
Those are some of the big moves we’re working on, but it doesn’t stop there. We’re always searching for ways to improve ourselves and offer the cheapest printing on the web!

New Shirt Colors Are Successful
Friday, February 25th, 2011 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegA couple weeks ago, we added many new colors to our t-shirt printing service. Here are a couple designs printed on black, kiwi green and sport gray t-shirts.
Color t-shirts with full color printing start at $10.99. We are hoping to add tank tops and long sleeves soon.
Welcome Mouse Pads!
Wednesday, February 9th, 2011 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegMouse pads are great for branding. Give them to customers or use them around the office. We use 1/4″ thick mouse pads which are the thickest on the market and are by far the most popular.
T-Shirts Are Back!
Friday, January 14th, 2011 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegIts about time! T-shirt printing is back and we’re pumped. Right now we only offer white shirts, but we hope to launch colored shirts again in a few months. We are keeping a close eye on some DTG printers so keep checking back. Our shirt printing is full color, 1 or 2 sided and your image can be up to 8″ X 10″ in size. Take a look.
New Film Poster
Friday, November 12th, 2010 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegWe just printed a poster for a film called Mayor Cupcake starring Lea Thompson (I just loved her in Back To The Future!) and Judd Nelson. We couldn’t find a trailer for the movie, but there is more information at IMDb. We wish the best to everyone involved in making the movie!
Talk About Shipping
Monday, November 8th, 2010 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegAt PrintKEG, we strive for 100% customer happiness. We receive very few complaints, but one consistent comment we see concerns shipping costs.
Our production and shipping team ensures that every order is delivered in strong boxes and plenty of packaging so covering those costs is very important to us. Since our print prices are so cheap, we can’t soak the shipping costs like other print companies may be able to do. It was long overdue for us to compare shipping prices against a few other online printing companies. The results I personally found were in PrintKEG’s favor.
Battle 1 - Send Posters To East Coast
What would it cost to print 250 11 x 17 posters on gloss text paper and ship by GROUND from us and three other companies to the east coast?
| Printing | Shipping | Total | |
| PrintKEG | 79.99 | 13.36 | $93.35 |
| PsPrint | 155.38 | 30.23 | $185.61 |
| NextDayFlyers | 191.95 | 18.40 | $210.35 |
| PrintingForLess | 208.69 | 11.44 | $220.13 |
| Save $92 - $126 by choosing PrintKEG | |||
In the end, PrintKEG’s print and total prices are incredibly cheaper. Our shipping prices are cheaper than PsPrint and NextDayflyers, but the other PrintingForLess slightly beat us. I feel this means our shipping costs are extremely reasonable.
Battle 2 - Send Posters To West Coast
What would it cost to print 250 11 x 17 posters on gloss text paper and ship by GROUND from us and three other companies to the west coast?
| Printing | Shipping | Total | |
| PrintKEG | 79.99 | 20.04 | $100.03 |
| PsPrint | 155.38 | 24.85 | $180.23 |
| NextDayFlyers | 191.95 | 14.53 | $206.48 |
| PrintingForLess | 208.69 | 9.29 | $217.98 |
| Save $80 - $117 by choosing PrintKEG | |||
Considering we are located in the east, our shipping costs are inline with competitors (and most of them are located in the west), but we are looking to lower prices anyways. The good news is that our TOTAL prices are still much cheaper.
Conclusion
There are a few areas where we are trying to lower shipping costs without lowering our shipping standards, but for the most part our shipping prices seem reasonable. We will be posting new tests on large posters and stationery in the future.
Also, we guarantee your prints. If your prints are damaged, we replace them. All we normally ask for is a picture since it helps us figure out how we can improve. Read more about our shipping policies.

More Comic Printing
Tuesday, October 19th, 2010 Blog, Printing News by Mr. KegWe recently finished printing a new comic book for Todd Tochiaka in Santa Monica, California, called project-17. We are extremely proud of the way these booklets turned out. If you are interested in ordering a book from Todd, visit his website. If you need a printer for your comic books, give us a chance to knock your socks off.
Check out another example of comic book printing we’ve printed (also by Todd) called Pink Power.

“PrintKeg services have been amazingly convenient! The turn-around time and quality is top-notch- plus, I know I can depend on the staff to reach out to communicate any issues or questions they have immediately, so no production time is wasted. I have priced out other vendors for the comic books and printed products Justus Arts produces and distributes, but no one comes close to the price, quality (much higher quality paper stock and printing than most comic book products out there!) and turn-around time that PrintKeg can offer. Plus, the option of lower numbered runs at great prices is perfect for promotional and prototype products!
I could never afford to operate such a DIY operation if it weren’t for Chris Mullen and the talented PrintKeg Staff!!!
