The artwork wraps around the sides of the frame, creating a clean, gallery-wrap presentation with no framing required. The .75" bar depth works well for most home and office display contexts and keeps the presentation clean and contemporary.

Resolution

Submit files at 300 DPI at your finished canvas dimensions. This applies to both canvas sheets and stretched canvas. At 300 DPI, photographic detail and fine illustration work will hold up cleanly at any size in the collection. For very large formats — 24×36" and above — files at 150–200 DPI will often still produce excellent results on canvas because the textured surface is more forgiving to resolution than a smooth coated paper, but 300 DPI remains the standard to aim for. If you're unsure about your file's resolution, submit it and our team will flag any concerns before printing begins.

Color Mode

We accept both RGB and CMYK files for canvas printing. All files are converted to CMYK before production begins, regardless of how they're submitted. For the most accurate color match, design in CMYK from the start — especially for work with rich blacks, deep blues, or subtle tonal gradations where the RGB-to-CMYK conversion can shift color in unexpected ways. If you're working in an RGB color space, be aware that some highly saturated RGB colors (particularly bright greens and electric blues) fall outside the CMYK gamut and will shift slightly in the conversion. Our design team makes adjustments to help ensure prints appear as intended.

Bleed Requirements

Bleed requirements differ between canvas sheets and stretched canvas. Canvas sheets require no added bleed — submit your file at the finished print dimensions, and we'll cut to size. Stretched canvas requires 2" of bleed on each side to account for the wrap around the wooden bars. A 16×20" stretched canvas requires a 20×24" image file. All essential content — faces, focal points, text, key design elements — must fit within the original 16×20" area. Keep critical content at least 0.5" inside the finished edge to avoid anything important getting too close to the wrap point.

Cotton-Polyester Blend

Our canvas features a cotton-polyester blend with a double-weave construction that mimics the texture of traditional artist canvas. The material is dimensionally stable — it holds its shape on stretched bars without warping, sagging, or curling over time. The cotton content gives the surface a natural, warm texture that photographic and painted work responds to beautifully, while the polyester content adds structural durability that keeps the print looking its best through years of display.

12-Color Pigment Ink Set
