Order Status

Look up your order status by entering the order number and your email here.

This lookup tool shows the exact current state of your print order, including the precise date we intend to ship your package (assuming your artwork is print-ready). As each order moves through our shop, we email updates at every major step so you always know where things stand.

Once an order ships, the tracking number appears in this status area, in your account, and in a shipment notification email. You can also track shipments directly through the Shop Pay app.

Understanding Print Order Statuses

Print production is a multi-step process, and most of our orders pass through several distinct stages before they ship. Here's what each status means and roughly how long it lasts.

Review

We've received your order and payment has cleared — welcome aboard! Our team is queuing it up for file review, which usually only takes a few minutes to a few hours during business days. You don't need to do anything while your order is in Review; we'll take it from here.

Art Issues

Our prepress team spotted something in your art file that needs attention before we can print — usually a bleed concern, a resolution issue, or a dimension mismatch. The good news is almost every art issue is fixable, and we've already emailed you from our customer service team with a clear explanation and your solution options. Just reply to that email and we'll get you moving again.

Awaiting Artwork

Your order is in the system, but we're still waiting on a usable print file from you. Please check your email (including your spam folder) for a note from art@printkeg.com with instructions on how to send your art. You can also upload directly from the original product page or email us at art@printkeg.com with your order number in the subject line.

Awaiting Response

A Printkeg representative has emailed or called you concerning an element that requires your response and attention.

Proof Sent

If you added a digital proof to your order, this status means we've prepared a PDF proof and emailed it to you for review. Your order is paused at this stage until you approve the proof, so a quick look and reply keeps everything on schedule. If you don't see the proof email, check spam or reach out and we'll resend it.

Print Date (##/##)

Your files are set up, any proofs are approved, and we've locked in the date your order will print and ship. The date appears right in the status line so you always know what to expect, and we'll email you the same date for your records. If you need a faster turnaround, let us know as soon as possible and we'll see what we can do.

In Production

Your order is actively on press. This is typically the longest stage in the order lifecycle, and its exact duration depends on your product, quantity, and any special finishing you selected. Most standard orders spend 2–4 business days here. No action is needed on your end — we'll move things along and update you at the next step.

Printed

Your prints are off the press and moving through finishing — cutting, trimming, scoring, folding, laminating, mounting, or packaging, depending on what your order requires. Finishing typically takes less than a day, and most orders ship the same day they're marked Printed.

Ready to Ship

Your order is packaged, labeled, and staged for carrier pickup. Packages generally leave the shop the same business day this status appears or the following morning, depending on the carrier's pickup schedule and when production wrapped up.

Shipped

Your package is officially in the carrier's hands and on its way. Your tracking number is active and available here, in your Printkeg account, and in the shipping notification email we just sent. Transit time depends on the shipping method you chose at checkout — rates and estimates are available on our shipping methods page.

Delivered

The carrier has marked your package as delivered. If you can't locate it, a quick walk around usually solves the mystery — check with neighbors, your building's front desk or mailroom, behind planters or doormats, and any alternative delivery location you may have set up with the carrier. Most "missing" packages are within 100 feet of the address. If you still can't find it after 24 hours, contact us and we'll help you open a carrier investigation right away.

Typical Print Order Timeline

Most standard orders move through the full process in 3–6 business days plus shipping time. Here's a typical timeline:

  • Day 0: Order placed and file check begins
  • Day 1: File approved and order enters production
  • Days 2–3: Printing, finishing, packaging. and handoff to the carrier
  • Days 3–6: Transit to destination (varies by carrier and speed)

Rush options and larger runs can shift this timeline in either direction. Every product page shows its specific estimated turnaround at checkout, and your order confirmation email includes your projected ship date.

Why Statuses Sometimes Pause

A handful of situations can slow an order's progress through the queue:

  • File issues. Low resolution, missing bleed, wrong color mode, or corrupted uploads all require revisions before we can print. We'll email you as soon as we identify the issue.
  • Proof approval delays. If you added a digital proof to your order, production is paused until you approve it. Faster approvals mean faster shipping.
  • Specialty finishing. Orders requiring lamination, mounting, custom sizing, or unusual finishes often add a day or two to the standard timeline.
  • High-volume seasons. Queue times can lengthen around major holidays, end-of-quarter marketing pushes, and festival/convention season.

Frequently Asked Questions About Order Status

How long does a typical print order take from start to finish?

Most standard orders take 1–3 business days in production plus shipping time to the destination. Rush options can compress this; specialty products and large runs can extend it. Your order confirmation email includes a projected ship date based on your specific product and options.

Why hasn't my order status updated in a few days?

The "In Production" status can last several business days for complex jobs, larger quantities, or products with multiple finishing steps. If you've seen no movement for more than five business days, contact us and we'll give you a direct update.

I didn't get a shipping notification. How do I find my tracking number?

Check your spam folder first — shipment emails sometimes get filtered. You can also find tracking on this page using the lookup tool, in your Printkeg account, or through the Shop Pay app.

Can I change my order once it's in production?

Once an order has moved into "Printed" or "In Production," changes are extremely difficult or impossible. Contact us as quickly as possible if you need to modify a live order.

My order says delivered, but I can't find it.

Most "missing" packages are within 100 feet of the delivery address — check with neighbors, your building's front desk or mailroom, behind planters and doormats, and any alternative delivery location you may have specified. If you still can't locate it after 24 hours, contact us and we'll help you open a carrier investigation.
