Printkeg Portal — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Printkeg ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles data through the Printkeg Portal Shopify app ("the App"). By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to artists and merchants ("you") who install the Printkeg Portal app on their Shopify store. It also covers the limited customer data we process in order to fulfill print orders placed in your store.
2. What Data We Collect
When you install and use the App, we collect and store the following:
- Store information: Your Shopify store domain and access token, used to create and manage products on your behalf.
- Order data: Customer name, email address, shipping address, and line item details from orders placed in your store that contain Printkeg products.
- Artwork files: High-resolution print files you upload are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 and are used solely for print production purposes.
- Payment information: We collect payment method data for billing purposes. All payment information is processed and stored securely by Stripe. We store only a reference token — your full card details never touch our servers.
- Settings and instructions: Any fulfillment instructions or preferences you configure within the App.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect solely to operate the Printkeg Portal and fulfill your print orders. Specifically:
- To create and manage print product listings in your Shopify store
- To receive and process incoming orders for print fulfillment
- To charge your payment method for fulfilled orders
- To route orders and artwork files to Printkeg's production team
- To communicate order status and fulfillment updates
We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with any third parties except as necessary to operate the App (e.g., Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for file storage).
4. Customer Data
We receive limited customer information (name, email, shipping address) as part of order fulfillment. This data is used only to produce and ship print orders. We do not use customer data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond fulfillment. Customer data is retained only as long as necessary for order processing and applicable record-keeping requirements.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secured infrastructure hosted by Railway (database) and Cloudflare (file storage). We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's security standards and PCI compliance.
6. Data Retention
We retain your store session and order data for as long as the App is installed on your store. If you uninstall the App, your session data is deleted automatically. Order records may be retained for a reasonable period for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. GDPR and Shopify Compliance
The App complies with Shopify's GDPR webhook requirements. Upon receiving a data request or deletion request from Shopify on behalf of a merchant or customer, we process those requests in accordance with applicable law.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Shopify: For store authentication and product/order management. Subject to Shopify's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe: For payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare R2: For secure file storage. Subject to Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
