Important Notes About Plastic Cards
- Clear and frosted cards can only be printed single-sided.
- Rounded corners can be 1/4" or 1/8". Specify 1/8" in the instructions area if desired.
- Clear cards are fully transparent. Frosted cards are semi-transparent and slightly obscured.
- Transparent cards include a peel-off protective film to prevent damage.
Turnaround Time for Plastic Business Cards
Standard turnaround is seven business days plus shipping. Rush options are not available for 20pt plastic cards. Orders of plastic cards do not affect the turnaround of other items in your order.
Faster Options
If you need cards sooner, consider our 16pt business card products. They are more economical and quicker to print, while 20pt plastic cards offer a premium, extra-thick alternative.
Digital Proofs for Plastic Business Cards
Upload your artwork on this page or email it to art@printkeg.com with your order number. Free proofs are only emailed if we notice issues. Digital proofs are available for $5 and will add at least one day to turnaround. They help verify trim, color, and artwork placement.
Art Specifications for Printing Plastic Business Cards
- File size should be 3.75" x 2.25" to allow trimming. Keep important elements at least 0.25" from edges and extend the background to the edges.
- Design in 300dpi or 600dpi. Many programs default to lower resolutions intended for digital use.
- Preferred formats: PDF or JPG. Other accepted formats include PNG, EPS, AI, PSD, and TIF.
- All artwork is converted to CMYK. RGB files may produce softer colors or shifts. Consider a PDF proof if this is your first online printing experience.

Shipping Plastic Business Cards
Cards ship in small, sturdy chipboard boxes made from 100% recycled materials via UPS. They do not ship via USPS. Plastic cards ship separately from other products to maintain quality and protection.

Additional Art Notes for Plastic Cards
- Art on clear and frosted cards may appear lighter than on standard cardstock.
- For rich black, use CMYK values: C 60, M 40, Y 40, K 100.
- White areas on clear or frosted cards will appear transparent. Use white plastic for actual white areas.
- All colors on clear or frosted cards will have a transparent effect.
- Ensure files are in CMYK color mode at 300dpi.
