Bulk Postcard Printing for High-Volume Marketing Campaigns

Printkeg's bulk postcard printing service produces 2,500 to 10,000+ premium postcards using offset presses, 16pt or 18pt card stocks, and optional UV or matte coatings. Designed for real estate professionals, marketing teams, designers, and event organizers, our large-quantity production combines competitive pricing with the durability and color accuracy that direct mail campaigns demand.

All bulk pricing is based on full-color, double-sided cards with 0.25" full-bleed printing. Rounded corners, premium substrates including 14pt Pearl Metallic and 100# Linen Cover stocks, and custom sizes are available on request.

Card Stock Options for Large-Quantity Postcards

16pt C2S Gloss UV (Double-Sided)

Our most popular bulk postcard option. Heavy 16pt cover stock coated on both sides (C2S) with a high-gloss UV finish that resists scratching, smudging, and moisture. Best for direct mail campaigns, real estate listings, and any handout where vibrant color and shelf appeal matter.

16pt C2S Matte (Double-Sided)

Same 16pt premium thickness with a soft matte coating instead of gloss. The non-glare finish reads as refined and is easier to write on with most pens, while still providing premium hand-feel. Ideal for save-the-dates, appointment reminders, and marketing pieces with an understated aesthetic.

18pt C1S UV Front (Double-Sided)

Thicker 18pt stock coated on one side (C1S) with a high-shine UV front for maximum visual impact, paired with an uncoated, writable back. The extra thickness signals quality immediately on touch — a strong choice for luxury real estate, premium product launches, and event invitations.

Understanding C1S vs C2S Card Stock

C1S means "coated one side" — only the front of the card has a clay or polymer coating, while the back is left uncoated and writable. C2S means "coated two sides" — both faces are coated for uniform sheen, color saturation, and durability.

Choose C2S when both sides of the postcard are part of the design and need consistent color reproduction. Choose C1S when the back of the card needs to accept ink from pens, addressing labels, or USPS indicia — which is common for direct mail postcards.

Artwork Specifications for Bulk Postcards

Resolution and Color Mode

  • Design at 300 DPI. Many programs default to 72 DPI (Photoshop screen presets) or 132 DPI (Procreate) — these will print soft and pixelated.
  • Convert artwork to CMYK color mode before export. RGB files are converted automatically and may appear muted, especially in saturated blues and greens.

Bleed and Safe Zone

  • Add a 0.25" bleed on all sides. A 4x6 postcard file should measure 4.25 x 6.25 inches.
  • Keep critical text and logos at least 0.25" inside the trim line to avoid being cut off during finishing.

Accepted File Formats

Preferred: PDF or JPG. Also accepted: PNG, EPS, TIF. Submit one file per side (front and back), clearly labeled.

Postcard Templates

Use our PDF postcard templates to visualize bleed, trim, and safe zones. Templates are pre-built at 300 DPI in CMYK with the correct 0.25" bleed already applied.

Digital Proofs and Production Process

Digital PDF proofs are provided automatically (at no charge) when our prepress team detects an artwork issue — common flags include low resolution, incorrect file size, missing bleed, or RGB color mode. Proofs can also be requested with your order for a $5 fee.

Production does not begin until proof approval, ensuring your bulk order prints exactly as expected.

Why Offset Printing for Large Quantities?

Bulk postcards at Printkeg are produced on offset presses rather than the digital presses we use for smaller orders. Offset printing offers three advantages at scale:

  1. Lower per-unit cost at quantities of 2,500 and above.
  2. Superior color consistency across thousands of pieces, critical for brand campaigns.
  3. Compatibility with UV coatings and specialty finishes that digital presses cannot reliably reproduce at volume.

For runs under 500 pieces, digital printing remains more economical and offers faster turnaround.

Turnaround and Shipping

Standard production for bulk postcards is 3 to 5 business days from proof approval. Rush turnaround is available — call for expedited pricing.

Orders ship via UPS Ground. Cards are shrink-wrapped in stacks and packaged inside sturdy double-walled corrugated boxes to prevent corner damage and bending in transit.

Optional Finishes and Upgrades

  • UV front, uncoated back: Glossy presentation with a writable reverse — popular for direct mail and real estate cards.
  • Rounded corners: Available for 4x6, 4.25x5.5, and 5x7 sizes. Adds a softer, premium feel.
  • 18pt cardstock upgrade: Available for 2x6, 2x8, 3x3, 3x4, 3x5, 4x6, and 5x7 sizes for extra rigidity.

Who Buys Bulk Postcards from Printkeg?

  • Real estate professionals running just-listed/just-sold campaigns and farm-area mailers.
  • Marketing agencies executing direct mail and EDDM campaigns for clients.
  • Designers and studios requiring color-accurate offset reproduction for portfolio mailers.
  • Event organizers announcing concerts, festivals, and gallery openings.
  • E-commerce brands sending thank-you cards, discount inserts, and reactivation pieces.
  • Photographers distributing promotional cards and session reminders.
