What's New at Printkeg
It's been a busy stretch here at Printkeg, and a lot of it has been driven by one question: how do we make it easier for artists, photographers, and small creative businesses to get professional prints into the world? Here's a look at what's changed lately and what we've been building behind the scenes.
A Cleaner, Smarter Catalog
We recently completed a full overhaul of how our products are organized. Every item in our catalog now follows a clear, consistent naming pattern, so when you're choosing a size, material, or quantity, the option you pick actually reads like plain language instead of an internal code. It's a small thing on the surface, but it makes ordering faster and reordering far less error-prone — especially if you're restocking a bestseller and want to be sure you're getting exactly the same print you got last time.
Alongside that, we've rebuilt our collection and product pages across most of our product families — art prints, postcards, bookmarks, stickers, banners, canvas, business cards, booklets, and more. The goal was to make each page genuinely useful: clearer descriptions, real guidance on paper and finish choices, and answers to the questions artists actually ask before placing an order.
Built for the Way Artists Shop Now
More and more people are discovering products through AI shopping assistants and search tools, not just by browsing. We've spent real time making sure Printkeg's catalog is readable and accurate for those tools, so when someone asks for, say, archival 11x17 art prints or blank postcards for a mailing, our products show up with the right details attached. If you've ever wished print shops were easier to compare, this is our contribution to fixing that.
New Content to Help You Sell
We've been publishing a steady stream of guides aimed at the realities of running a creative business — pricing art prints, choosing print sizes for artist alley booths, prepping files correctly the first time, and getting the most out of convention season. Printing is only half the job; the other half is selling, and we want Printkeg to be a resource for both.
The Printkeg Portal for Artists
This is the big one. We've been hard at work on the Printkeg Portal — a tool that lets artists connect their own online store directly to Printkeg for print fulfillment. The idea is simple: you sell the artwork, your customer places an order, and Printkeg handles the printing and ships it out blind, with no Printkeg branding, straight to your buyer. No holding inventory, no trips to the post office, no juggling fulfillment on a convention weekend.
The portal is in the final stages of review and testing, and we're genuinely excited to get it into artists' hands. It's the natural next step for a print shop that's always been built around independent creators.
A Few Things Under the Hood
Not everything we've worked on is flashy, but it all adds up. We've tightened our pre-production artwork review process, improved how we handle reprint and refund requests so issues get resolved faster, and continued refining our free blind shipping so your orders arrive resale-ready every time. When something goes wrong with a print, we want fixing it to be quick and painless — and we've put work into making sure it is.
What's Next
We're not slowing down. We're exploring new product capabilities aimed squarely at our artist audience, expanding our guides and resources, and continuing to polish the Printkeg Portal toward a full launch. As always, the north star is the same: professional-quality prints, fair pricing, and a process that respects the time and money of the independent artists and photographers we serve.
Thanks for being part of it. If there's something you'd like to see us add or improve, we'd genuinely love to hear it — reach out anytime at contact@printkeg.com.
