5×7 Custom Card Printing FAQ

What size is a 5×7 print file in pixels?
At 300 DPI, set up your file at 1500 × 2100 pixels. For full bleed, use 5.25 × 7.25 inches (1575 × 2175 pixels).

Do I need bleed for 5×7 card printing?
Yes, for edge-to-edge artwork. Add 0.125" bleed on all sides and keep important elements 0.25" from the trim edge.

What’s the best resolution for 5×7 printing?
300 DPI ensures sharp detail. Avoid enlarging low-resolution files.

What file format should I upload?
A print-ready PDF is best. High-resolution JPG or PNG also work if properly sized.

Should my file be RGB or CMYK?
CMYK is recommended for accurate print color. RGB files may shift when converted.

Will printed colors match my screen?
Not exactly. Screens use RGB light; printing uses CMYK ink. Minor color variation is normal. Request a digital proof if color accuracy is critical.

Can I order small quantities?
Yes. Short runs are ideal for testing new designs, limited editions, and small retail batches.

What paper works best for 5×7 art cards?
Matte for a fine art look and gloss or satin for vibrant, photo-style color.

Are 5×7 cards a good size to sell?
Yes. 5×7 is easy to display, ship, and price—plus it fits standard frames and envelopes.
