It takes two or four business days for us to begin printing. Add that to the shipping time. You pick a shipping method during the checkout process.
The Art Technicals for Printing Customized 4.25x5.5 Notecards
If the next technicals resemble Alienese to you, don't let it hinder you from buying custom 4.25" x 5.5" notecards today. Our friendly specialists scrutinize all artwork before printing starts. If we cannot resolve any challenges we discover, one of our courteous graphics specialists will contact you.
- Try to prepare your notecard files with 4.5" x 5.75" dimensions. Your artwork can be set up in portrait or landscape mode. If required, we will make quick adjustments to keep the process smooth. We ask that you focus more on keeping valuable content at least 0.25 inches away from the edges to avoid undesired clipping.
- Review your work area's quality settings to ensure you are designing in 300dpi. Many graphic software tools default to a low-quality 72dpi (Adobe) or 132dpi (Procreate). Increasing the quality setting to 300dpi or higher before you begin designing is a gigantic step towards quality excellence.
- We prefer the two file formats, PDF or JPG. Our artists will also allow PNG, EPS, PSD, AI, and TIF files. We are unable to access DOC, PPT, or PUB files.
- We convert all art files to CMYK. Many designers accidentally work in RGB, but this color method is fundamentally for digital media. The CMYK conversion process can lead to softened colors or unwanted color shifts. If this is your first experience with commercial printing, we suggest requesting the PDF proof option.
- Remove trim marks from your notecard design since we handle our cut lines. Sometimes, designers or software leave these marks on the art, but we will ask you to exclude them.

Use the below PDF template to place your art into to visualize better and understand how art will appear after trimming. Please do not worry if you cannot utilize this template. We inspect all art and make adjustments or recommendations based on the art you provide to us.
PDF Proofs Are Helpful
If you prefer a PDF digital proof before printing, please indicate this in the above order form. A digital proof could prevent overlooked mistakes; however, this extra step will add one day to the turnaround.
Digital proofs are generally not required for most custom 4.25x5.5 note card projects. We briefly inspect all files for quality purposes. If we see apparent problems (resolution, size, etc.), we may still email you a PDF proof beforehand, ensuring your prints appear magnificent!
How to Send Art to Us
Please submit your artwork through the above form. If your artwork is not ready for submission, you may email the file to art@printkeg.com at a later time. Please place your order number in the subject line. Use a third-party file storage company such as Dropbox or Google Drive for large files.
