Flyer Printing vs. Fine Art Prints: Which Do You Need?
Not every print job calls for the same product. Knowing the difference upfront saves you money and gets you the right result the first time.
Flyer Printing
Built for volume, speed, and budget-conscious marketing. Flyer printing is ideal when you need a lot of pieces fast, cost per unit matters, and the print doesn't need to last decades.
- Affordable, lightweight to heavy paper stocks
- Best for events, promotions, handouts, and retail marketing
- Fast 1–2 day production
- Great cost-per-unit even at low quantities
Fine Art Prints
Engineered for longevity, color accuracy, and collector-grade presentation. Fine art printing is the right call when your print is the product — something buyers frame, display, and keep for years.
- Archival, museum-grade paper and inks
- Best for retail art prints, gallery submissions, and premium sales
- Premium art-focused production process
- Higher cost per unit, significantly higher perceived value
If you're an artist and you're not sure which is right for your project, think of it this way: flyers promote your work, fine art prints are your work. For archival paper options, visit our fine art printing collection.
Flyer Sizes: Every Standard Format Covered
We offer the industry-standard flyer sizes that work across every use case — from pocket-sized handouts to full poster-scale marketing pieces. Need something outside these dimensions? We support custom sizes in 0.25" increments.
5.5" × 8.5" — Half Sheet
The most cost-effective flyer format. Two fit on a standard 8.5×11 sheet, keeping production prices low. Perfect for event handouts, takeaway menus, business promotions, and any situation where you're distributing large volumes and keeping per-unit cost as low as possible.
8.5" × 11" — Full Page
The standard flyer size — recognizable, versatile, and the default format for most business and event marketing. Plenty of space for headlines, images, and details. Works well pinned to bulletin boards, handed out at doors, or included in mailers. Affordable to produce at almost any quantity.
11" × 17" — Tabloid / Poster Flyer
The large-format flyer that bridges the gap between handout and display poster. Great for window signage, event announcements, retail displays, and anywhere you need visual impact without jumping to full poster pricing. One of the most affordable ways to get large-format print presence.
Square & Specialty Sizes
Square flyers stand out in a stack of standard rectangles. Popular with artists, boutique retailers, and brands that want something unexpected. Also available in custom sizes — specify your dimensions in 0.25" increments for a truly tailored result.

Paper Options: Choosing the Right Stock for Your Flyers
Paper choice is where affordable flyer printing can either look cheap or look polished. The right stock for your project depends on how the flyer will be used, how long it needs to last, and how much you want it to impress on first contact.
Lightweight Text Stocks — Budget-Friendly & High-Volume Ready
Text-weight papers are thinner and more flexible, making them ideal for large-quantity handouts, mailers, and inserts where cost-per-piece matters most. These are your go-to affordable flyer papers.
80# Gloss Text
A bright, magazine-style finish that makes colors pop. The most cost-effective paper for high-volume color flyers. Great for events, promotions, and any situation where you're printing large quantities and need vibrant results at the lowest price per piece.
70# Matte Text
A smooth, clean, non-reflective surface that's easy to read and easy to write on. Ideal for informational flyers, menus, and any application where the recipient might want to take notes. Softer look than gloss without sacrificing print clarity.
Premium Cover Stocks — Heavier, More Durable, More Impressive
Cover-weight papers are thicker and sturdier — they feel more substantial in the hand and hold up better in retail environments, at events, and in display situations. Worth the modest price upgrade when first impressions matter.
80# Gloss Cover
Light postcard-thickness with a rich gloss finish. A significant step up from text stock in terms of perceived quality. Good for promotional flyers that need to feel like more than a handout — without pushing into premium cover pricing.
100# Matte Cover
An elegant, uncoated finish that's become a favorite among artists and designers who want their flyers to feel tactile and intentional. Soft to the touch, easy to write on, and sophisticated without being glossy. Highly recommended for Artist Alley handouts and boutique retail.
110# Gloss Cover
The thickest, most durable flyer stock we offer. Feels closer to a business card or trading card than a traditional flyer. Excellent for premium event promotions, artist print catalogs, convention handouts, and any situation where you want the physical object itself to make a strong statement.

Popular Uses for Cheap Flyer Printing
Our flyer printing is used across industries for everything from high-volume promotional campaigns to specialty artist handouts. Here's how different customers put their flyers to work.
Events & Concerts
Promote shows, festivals, community gatherings, fundraisers, and pop-up events. Affordable half-sheet and full-page flyers are the fastest way to get the word out before an event date.
Restaurants & Retail
Menus, specials, seasonal promotions, and in-store signage. The 8.5×11 and 11×17 are workhorses for brick-and-mortar businesses that need new marketing materials on short notice and a tight budget.
Real Estate
Property listings, open house announcements, and neighborhood door-drops. Fast turnaround is critical in real estate — our 1–2 day production means you can promote a new listing before the weekend.
Artists & Conventions
Table info cards, Artist Alley handouts, convention schedules, and mini art catalogs. Cover-weight stocks on a 5.5×8.5 or square format give artists an affordable way to put something physical and memorable in buyers' hands.
Political & Community
Campaign handouts, community meeting notices, petitions, and outreach materials. Low minimum quantities and cheap per-unit pricing makes flyer printing practical even for grassroots efforts with tight budgets.
Small Art Prints & Promos
Affordable small art prints, postcards, and promotional pieces for online shops and Etsy sellers. Flyer paper stocks are a cost-effective way to offer lower price-point prints without cutting into your margins.
Fast Turnaround & Rush Options
Most short-run flyer orders are printed and ship within one to two business days at no extra production charge. That's the standard — not an upgrade you have to pay for.

Standard, expedited, and overnight shipping available. Real-time tracking provided on all orders. We ship from our production facility promptly so transit time is as short as possible.
File Setup: How to Prepare Your Artwork for Flyer Printing
Getting your file right before you submit is the single best thing you can do to guarantee the flyers you receive match what you designed. Here's everything you need to know.
Resolution: 300 DPI
Set your canvas to 300 DPI at your exact flyer dimensions before designing. Files built at 72 DPI for screen will print blurry at full size — this is the most common mistake and the hardest to fix after the fact. Always design at print resolution from the start.
Color Mode: CMYK
Flyer printing uses CMYK ink — four colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) combined to produce a full spectrum. Design in CMYK color mode for the most accurate match between screen and print. RGB files are accepted but colors may shift slightly in conversion.
Bleed: 0.125"–0.25"
If your design runs color to the edge of the flyer (full bleed), extend your background artwork 0.125" beyond the trim line on all sides. Without bleed, trimming can leave a thin white sliver on the edge. Add 0.25" of bleed for 11×17 and larger.
Safe Zone: 0.25" Inside Trim
Keep all important content — text, logos, phone numbers, QR codes — at least 0.25" inside the final trim edge. Anything too close to the edge risks being cut off. This is especially important for 5.5×8.5 flyers where margins are tighter.
If you're not a designer or you're unsure about your file setup, don't stress. We review every file before it goes to press and will contact you if anything needs adjustment — at no extra charge.

Flyer Printing FAQ
What is the minimum order for flyer printing?
Most flyer sizes start at just 25 pieces — one of the lowest minimums in the industry. This makes our cheap flyer printing a practical option for small businesses, independent artists, event organizers, and anyone who needs professional results without ordering 500 copies they'll never use.
How fast do flyers ship?
Standard production is 1–2 business days for most orders at no extra charge. Rush printing and expedited shipping options are available at checkout if you're on a tight deadline. Contact us before ordering if you need to hit a specific event date and we'll give you a straight answer on what's achievable.
Can I print multiple designs in one order?
Yes. Select sizes allow you to upload multiple files and split your print quantity across them while still benefiting from volume pricing. This is especially useful for artists printing a range of designs for a convention, or businesses running multiple promotions simultaneously.
What file format should I submit?
PDF is preferred for print-ready files. High-quality JPG and TIFF are also accepted. Make sure your file is set to 300 DPI at your final print dimensions and CMYK color mode. Avoid web-compressed JPGs or files exported at 72 DPI for screen use — these will not print with full clarity at flyer size.
Do I need to add bleed to my file?
If your design extends color or imagery to the edge of the flyer (full bleed), yes — add 0.125" of bleed on all sides for most sizes, or 0.25" for 11×17. If your design has a white border, bleed isn't required. If you're unsure, submit your file and we'll check it before printing.
What's the difference between text stock and cover stock?
Text stock is lighter and more flexible — ideal for high-volume handouts, mailers, and any situation where cost-per-piece is the priority. Cover stock is heavier and more durable, feeling more substantial in the hand. For events and retail where the flyer needs to survive a day in someone's bag, cover stock is worth the modest price difference.
What's the difference between flyer printing and fine art printing?
Flyer printing uses commercial-grade text and cover stocks designed for marketing and high-volume use. Fine art printing uses archival, museum-grade papers and inks designed for prints that are sold, framed, and displayed for years. If you're an artist selling prints — not just promoting yourself — visit our fine art printing collection.
Will you review my file before printing?
Yes — every order includes a file review before production. If we notice a resolution issue, color mode problem, or missing bleed that could affect your final print, we'll reach out before pressing print. You won't discover a problem after your order has already shipped.
Can I order a custom flyer size?
Yes. We support custom sizes in 0.25" increments. Select the closest available standard size and specify your exact finished dimensions in the order notes. Contact us before ordering if you have a specific custom size requirement and we'll confirm it's achievable.
