Papers For Half Size Booklets - Glossy
We utilize glossy paper (80# text) that folds nicely and exudes rich colors. Customers choose this paper for booklets more than any other.
The matte paper (70# text) feels heavy, more opaque, and you can write on it. Some clients believe the creamier finish of flat booklets emits a higher-end product.
Upgrade your cover to a thin card stock giving your booklets or comic books a longer shelf life and a more lavish feel.

Learn More About Printing Half Size Booklets - Glossy
Half-size booklets are folded and stapled and intended for catalogs, pamphlets, playbills, and programs. We focus on speedy turnaround times, professional quality control methods, and premium printing. Printkeg provides a valuable solution for small runs of booklet printing with a minimum purchase of only one booklet.
Our gloss papers (coated) are naturally less expensive than uncoated papers (matte) since they are more popular industry-wide. Choosing between gloss and matte is more about preference and branding.
We strongly advise that customers order a physical proof.
Half-Size Booklet Details
All custom booklets, playbills, and newsletters are considered "full bleed" or borderless. Please allow enough time for proofing and set up. If you have a tight deadline, please feel free to contact us concerning your project.
Turnaround Times Are So Fast
Turnaround for half size booklet and playbill orders can vary significantly due to unknown setup times, proof times, and approval times. We ask customers with strict deadlines to please communicate with a Printkeg customer representative, so we can work closely with you to stay on schedule. Please provide a deadline date in the messages field above when possible.
Typical turnaround time is three to five days which doesn't begin until the art is approved.
To obtain five-star results, we highly recommend customers order a physical proof of their half-size booklet or playbill. Especially when ordering large quantities, being able to hold a sample book in your hand will eliminate any concerns you may have.
A digital proof is an alternative way to produce a final proofreading opportunity of your art before going to production. The Art Department will email a PDF proof for your approval. Please let us know in the above "Messages / Instructions" field if a digital file is necessary.
If your art is 100% ready to go, there might not be any need for proofing. Our designers will always check your artwork to ensure quality, resolution, and bleed. Unfortunately, customers skipping the proofing stage do accept more risk.
Sending Us Your Art
Please upload half-size booklet and playbill art on this page unless you are sending multiple or huge files. These files can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or delivered via third party storage apps such as Dropbox and Box.net.
Many clients turn art in as a multipage PDF document with .25" bleed area. Each page should be formatted to fit 5.75" x 8.75". The key to well-printed booklets and playbills is providing enough bleed area (leave enough space between edges and key text/images).
We prefer booklets to be turned in as multipage files with a .25” bleed. Some customers find it easier to submit booklet and playbill pages individually and numbered. If this is your preference, please name the cover page 1.jpg or 1.pdf. We favor the pages submitted as one single multi-page document.

"I love you guys and all you do! You make my life so easy! Or at least my printing life...if only you could start....say... RelationshipKEG or JobKEG, or TrafficKEG....ah well...here's dreaming." - JR Rose
